From the files of the Black Baron: Casefile #090908 - The P.C. Police have arrived.

In my travels I've seen many a strange thing, attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, C-beams glittering in the dark near the Tannhauser gate... no, wait, I've done that gag before...

The point still stands, however.

I've seen a myriad of strange, wondrous, and, sometimes, horrifying things during the length of my interminable existence and, while most are noteworthy, some are truly beyond the ken of mortal man.

Case in point, it would now appear that a local constabulary is taking lessons in manners and decorum.

While wandering some of the blue lines on the map I happened to comes across a rather nondescript building tucked in the trees between a library and a yard for town maintenance vehicles, to wit:

Now, at first I didn't give it much thought beyond the usual wonderings about why local governments all seem to choose their buildings from the same farm and tractor supply catalog, but then the sign on the aforementioned building caught my eye... mainly because it was the only thing on the building that set it apart from Farmer Brown's garage... well, that and it failed to smell of cow manure and diesel fuel.

I spent some long minutes simply staring at this sign in open-mouthed wonder at it's portent... could this innocuous blue and white placard actually mean what it says?

Were the local law enforcement officials actually going to learn how to properly address people... say please and thank you when they're arresting someone... and, wonder of wonders, be able to tell a salad fork from a soup spoon?

The mind boggles at the possibilities... but, to be quite honest, I'd be happy if they could just manage to keep from driving those expensive cruisers into the river with alarming regularity and put a couple bicycle mounted officers on the streets.

One day I hope to steal a glance of the interior of this structure, if for no other reason than to see officers being instructed in the proper use of doilies and being admonished for not keeping their pinkies extended when they take their tea.
