It would seem that Paul Moriarty has way too much free time on his hands as he's decided to waste more time, energy, and money by reintroducing his insipid "Quick Release" bill to the state legislature for the 2008-2009 session.
What I find interesting about this is the claim that "Children riding bicycles with quick release wheels have been involved in over 100 accidents", by that logic they should also be passing similar legislation against SUVs since they've caused countless accidents involving the injury and death innumerable children... and adults... and family pets... and wildlife... I think you can see my point here.
It's just another pointless piece of legislation from a politician desperately trying to justify his existence and failing miserably.
On the plus side, the industry is prepared for this and have hired a lobbyist to go to Trenton but everyone also has to do their part by contacting their representatives in the state legislature and inform them that this bill is a really bad idea.
